MegaMan has always had the same issue as Metroid. The characters MegaMan and Samus are super popular, arguably borderline main stream, but the actual games themselves are rather niche and have never really sold that well.

I’m about to do my second play through of zero part three and I realize that I like it better than the second one only because you can upgrade to be a spider, but I do love that the second one allows you to collect microchips that give you coordinates to other planets Other planets and travel to them and explore them. I don’t understand why they did not include that into the third game that was so awesome.

This is a great game. I just did my second play through at 100% and I did it less than five hours.

my personal tier list is mbn3 (god), mbn6 (very good and great finale), mbn2 (good) , mbn1 ( if you really want to know the lore), mbn5 ( i hate 3 turn boss fights) , mbn4 ( the hell happened with this one?)

the DS version is the more superior one with having the map, and Capcom really dropped the ball on the BNLC, not adding those quality of life changes. but hey it's Capcom after, as they really like to half-ass things like always.

I don't remember seeing Mr match in the second game I haven't played 4,5,6 so I don't know about those games but I know for sure Mr match wasn't in the second game

I have played all 6 but I would say Battle network 1 is probably the best to start with as players can learn the mechanics more easily. Battle network 6 Gregar is probably the next one as it has a better guide for soul mechanics than 5 and 4. Battle network 5 is easier to play than 4. Battle network 2 and 3 are probably the last I would recommend for players because battle network 2 and 3 have very very difficult fights at the end with Bass. I personally find battle network 3 being the most difficult of the series due to complicated mechanics.

I agree when it comes to the Editor. On paper, this sounds like a good substitute for both Navi Customizer and Style Change but in execution, it sucks due to its limitations.

@ShadowRockZX Is anyone else having trouble getting the patch to work correctly? I've followed the tutorial exactly and for some reason, the game text doesn't come out as shown. The font is different and the letter, "m," doesn't show. Any help with this would be awesome!

I'm always surprised to see the community praise two over one, when two felt like a completely random and impossibly tedious mess of a game that shouldn't even be attempted without a guide. I %100 one and loved all of it, it was straightforward and rewarding to hunt for rare chips. Two made it impossible to get the chips I wanted and felt punishing without the exact right chip for the circumstance. I actively disliked it and probably won't play again. IMO, skip two

MMBN6 is specially awesome for me because it's pretty much a love letter to the series and the fans. Just look at those PAs that references the previous games. As much as i would like a new MMBN title, i think the series is great the way it is!

The problem for megaman is that we have four timeline periods, and two? For the alt timeline, that mostly need more content. Classic has obviously had it good but TBF the Elf Wars, the Legion Cataclysm, and the conclusion of the the fall of the Elysium Master system are all events fans have been waiting for, and for decades now. And honestly AAA gaming is dead/dying so i think now is the time where Megaman should be stepping up for Capcom and the lack of news is a little concerning since right now, lower budget, more "retro" or more "mid tier" games filled with heart, story or just flat bucketloads gameplay potential are what's selling rather than the big blockbuster titles, and to be frank sales have been showing that for almost 4 years now. So anyone whose been holding onto a IP like Megaman should be wanting to slowly draw in fan attention. The Xdive was one good way, but they should probably want to do a relatively "cheap" Megaman Legends 3 thats full of nods to the other eras to drag in and prime new fans, or just straight do another game in the X series (since idk about how Capcom would feel about ZX)
